February 21st 2008 to July 2nd 2009... that's about, what? 16+ months, give or take some days. I suppose this could use an updating. Possibly, maybe. Kinda I want to. I mean come on, it has been a year and a third.

Not much to say, really… I’m doing everything I did 16 months ago, only maybe a little differently? Hopefully for the better. Still drawing, still writing sort of… still petting adorable kittens because they are adorable. Compy hasn’t died again, which is damn good. So, so good. I think the most eventful things I’ve done in this sixteen month period, excluding things I can’t remember, are:
1) Went to Comic-Con ‘08. Oh boy, large masses of people!
2) Stopped drinking soda. WHAT! Yes, it’s true for… some unholy reason I’m sure.

So what does the rest of 2009 hold for Jaflarz, the Chaos Doughtnut, the Discordian Accordion? Hell if I know.

My trusty stead, the delightful mechanical sprite known most commonly as... My Compy, isn't working. Something with Windows (lol, specific). It shouldn’t be that hard to fix, I think… I just need some disc which I can’t find. Of course, I’m not sure I even had it to begin with… ah well. The soonest I can buy a replacement is Feb. 29th so I have plenty of time to look around for it.

In the meantime, I’m using an older computer, which has… none of the stuff I was working on currently on it. Nor does it have Open Canvas. Nor can it run Windows Live Messenger. Nor does it have a place nearby for Pele the Kittykin to flop down and be petteded. But at least AOL works. It’s… it’s something. IT’S SOMETHING!! ;_;

All in all, what an inconvenient turn of events.

[EDIT 3/05]
Computer's been working again for a few days now. Been much too lazy to update this in a timely manner. Everything in “My Documents” was lost though. That sucked. Thankfully most of the important stuff was backed up on my thumb drive, and what wasn‘t I‘ve either remembered and typed out again or have started the process of rewriting. Of course, my brain never stops chugging along and thinking of two new things to write doesn’t help… ah, must prioritize!

Anyway, in the end, it’s all good. Oh, but my scanner won’t reinstall… eh, I can work around that for now. Status: It's Good!

Oh my god. October. Fall and winter are, hands down, my favorite times of the year. Simply because instead of being sweaty and overly warm like in summer, I get to be cold. And I like being cold. It's great... to me. I also hope it rains a lot this year. Rain in the winter = Yes.

October's my second favorite month of the year. I usually consider August to be my favorite month, but this year it was... holy crap. Not good at all. So damned hot, and so many freakin' bloody noses... among other things. September was a welcomed change. But yes, October. Fall weather and Halloween, can't beat it. Horror movie marathons, no unexpected freak heat waves... should be good. So watch, it won't. Just to spite my expectations.

Guess I never got around to that retroactive third anniversary thing. >_> Whoops. Ah, I'm forgetful... Must remember: October 31st: Halloween. November 19th: "Into the Abyss" turns 2 years old. In between those... it's a fiesta!

Speaking of "Into the Abyss", I'm still working on it. Slowly but... slowly... and surely. Currently adding new material as well as going back and fixing up any continuity errors. Organization, mmm... but err, yes. Jolly good. S'all for now.

Peace Easy,

It’s hard to think of journal things. But, as it has been over 50 days since the last one, I figure it can’t hurt. Can it? Ha ha, probably not. Not much has changed over those 50+ days. Still working on “Into the Abyss” albeit it slowly. Still working on other stuff. Still petting kitties, ‘cause dey’s scho kiut.

I’ve had a lot of trouble sleeping lately. For most of last week and the weekend I would wake up while sleeping frequently. I think the most I woke up during one sleeping period was four times in six or so hours. And then on Saturday night and Sunday night I had nightmares that when I woke up, made me particularly paranoid throughout the day. Luckily though, it turns out the solution to all of my troubles was staying awake for 22 hours. Sweet, sweet… being awake?

There’s nothing like the upcoming Memorial Day to make me miss getting the Discovery Health Channel. Good times having an intense sun burn, laying on my bed watching that with the air conditioner on. Plus the sun getting low so my room was all blue. I believe kitties were involved as well. Good times. Ah, youth.

Otherwise… uh, ah! Last Friday marked the 3rd anniversary of me using Deviant Art. I sure wish I had remembered, I would’ve drawn something to commemorate it. Ah well, I guess I still could retroactively. Yes, I believe I shall… soon. S’all for now.

Oh joyous day. I found both the philosophy and the linguistics sections at my local Borders today. I feel almost dumb as I’ve been going there for my bookly needs like… all of the three years or so it’s been there. And they’re both right next to the Art section, which was one first areas I remember going to in that store. Ah, a simple observation that had previously alluded me totally makes my day today.

Nothing much else is going down… still writing “Into the Abyss” although I also started a much shorter project called “Double Bass”. I crunched some numbers concerning the two… DB has 13 chapters. ItA has around 100. See, much shorter. M I RITE? Y, I M RITE!

Yup.
